Rules

This is your basic stuff, nothing you haven't read on every other forum before. Treat each other like decent human beings. If there's conflict, move it from the chatbox, break it up, diffuse it, or contact a staff member. I don't expect every single person to get along all the time, but don't make this site an awkward, tense place by letting things escalate in front of everyone else (some of us are just here for a good time). Any sort of discriminating remarks made toward another member will not be tolerated.

Keep everything within Proboards TOS (basically, let's keep it PG-13; there's violence/murder obviously, there's cursing, there's implied sexual content, drug mention, but smut is not allowed and no super graphic violence). If you want to thread your characters being their freaky selves, take it to Discord or PM each other, ya filthies.

Make one account per character. Please fill out their custom fields and provide them with a hover image (250x350) and avatar. It's important that you link your PC to your account once it is made. If you need help with anything, or are unable to crop/edit images, just shoot me a PM or message me on Discord. I can help you. Other members may be able to as well, so feel free to post a question in the chatbox.


Your staple character rules (you know 'em): no godmodding, no Gary/Mary Sues, try to use good grammar and spelling (make it legible, at the very least). Roleplayers of all level are accepted, but there is a 100-word minimum on all posts, including posts at the Income Center, Training Board, and in wilds/mod threads. One-shots have a 500-word minimum.

A note about quirks: nothing godly-OP. No resurrection. No all-knowing. No freezing time or time-traveling (slowing down time, I suppose, would be okay, as long as it had its limitations).

There isn't really a character limit, but please try and be active with your threads (we all have lives, so its understandable if things take time, but constantly abandoning threads is no fun). If I feel like you have a tendency of picking up/dropping characters continually, then you may not be allowed to make another. If you're abandoning a character, their Pokemon can be transferred to another character, but only if they've grown 10+ levels since creation.

Only human characters. However, quirks that give animal characteristics are understandable, as well as quirks that alter a human's appearance to only be vaguely humanoid. But at the base, we are all human — no aliens, no gjinkas, no robots, etc.

All characters must have a posted PC! This is very important, and you will not be allowed to do mod threads without first posting a PC and linking it into your profile (there is a custom field for it). You keep up with your inventory there as well as provide a Wishlist (which mods will use in wild threads, since there is a chance your wishlist Pokemon will appear! If no wishlist is present, a random Pokemon will appear instead) Please keep up with your inventory. Staff will add any items you buy to your user profile so it is visible there, but it is also your responsibility to keep up with your items and this is basically an honor-system. If I do find that you are using items you haven't bought, or have already used, then you will be banned from mod threads (basically meaning you won't be able to level your existing Pokemon or obtain new Pokemon without buying eggs or battling other members).

Humans can not speak or understand Pokespeak (unless it is a quirk). Pokemon can understand human speak. Pokemon can speak to each other and understand each other's speech. However, there are some exceptions. Ghost-type Pokemon, Psychic-type Pokemon, and those few regularly-telepathic Pokemon (i.e. Lucario) can communicate with humans. Ghost Pokemon can project a "voice"; they can not read minds, but they can "speak" telepathically. Psychic Pokemon can read minds, only if they are close to the person or are allowed to. Note: Zorua/Zoruark are not capable of telepathy, even if transformed into a Pokemon who normally has the ability. The same goes for dittos.

You do have the chance of getting a shiny Pokemon (it is rolled for every wild encounter and every egg bought/bred, and you are able to buy a Shiny Potion). Shiny Pokemon have IC deformities. Examples include: an inability to communicate, a lot smaller than normal, an inability to feel pain or fear, or an inability to control their body temperature (i.e. ice Pokes constantly freezing things). Whatever you can think off, be it subtle or not so subtle. If we get many shinies, eventually I will compile a list of their deformities.

There can be slight/subtle Pokemon variations. Nothing over-the-top or too wild.

There are Alolan/Galarian Pokemon on-site. If there's a Pokemon that has both a first-stage regular form and a first-stage Alolan/Galarian form, you can choose to have the Alolan/Galarian form. Example: There is a regular Vulpix and an Alolan Vulpix, you can choose to have either. Otherwise, in the case where there's only a regular first-stage and the Pokemon can either evolve into its "other" form or regular form... you must buy an Alolan or Galarian capsule. For example, there's an Alolan Marowak and a regular Marowak, but there is only a regular Cubone. You'd have to buy a capsule in order to get the Alolan Marowak, or catch an Alolan Marowak in the wild. Alolan/Galarian Pokemon do spawn in Wild threads.

For simplicity reasons, there is no Dynamaxing and no Z-moves. There is also no need to track Happiness.
